Brilliant, will go back
We liked everything! Super location, lovely views, birds on in the island were really cool. I cannot stress enough how far ahead of local competition this place is. Best sleep on our trip which involved 5 hotels. Room was brilliant.
It’s not easy to achieve this quality in Egypt, which has had well documented problems relating to its tourism industry. We had a Superior Nile View and the room was excellent.
The buffet dinner was pants. Get B&B and pay for the restaurants. Kebabgy was v good as was the Ascot Bar, which also does food. And the pool service was also great

Good hotel. Overpriced rooms and food. More 4 star than 5.
Breakfast and dinner was good. Prices are very high for Egypt. Room was clean and fine. A bit outdated and could use a bit renovation. Pool area was nice, but if you come in crowded times, don’t expect a sunbed, as there is only 9 available and no room for more. Service was good and kind in reception, restaurants and pool bar. Location was good, bit since walking in Cairo is little used, you may as will live anywhere in Cairo. Next time we will live somewhere more quiet.
Hallway carpets could use a cleaning. Small thing, but it just looks dirty. Don’t choose the hotel because of the pool. Likely there is no sunbeds available. Spa area was only for adults. Same for fitness (+16 years). In comparison to other major cities recently visitited like (Rome, Sevilla, Barcelona, Lisbon, Copenhagen) it is way over priced. Somewhat comparable to Paris, where room quality/size is also low for 5*.
